7 Dresses for 7 Occasions
Rachel Roy once said, “A great dress can make you remember what is beautiful about life.” This week, our team is here to remind you in the power of a great dress. With holiday season upon us, our calendars are quickly filling up with everything from Friendsgiving to the Holiday Office Party. With a great party, comes a need for a great dress, and Made en France is at your service to assist you with all your dress needs. Keep on scrolling for our curated list of 7 Dresses for 7 Occasions.

Art Exhibit

With our headquarters being located in an art gallery, we had to share with you some of our favorite looks to attend an Art Exhibit. Dressing for an Art Exhibit can be tricky due to there rarely being a suggested dress code. However, for this look, we live by the words of fashion king, Karl Lagerfield, “One is never overdressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress.” Below are two of our favorite LBD’s you can shop for yourself!

Fashion Show

Another event we had to include, especially after our own Desert Sunrise Fashion show. (In case you missed it, read about it here.) A fashion show is the perfect time to showcase your own personal style. Choose something daring and chic-something you could only wear to a fashion event. Maybe even that dress you’ve had your eye on, but didn’t quite know where you would wear it. Now you do! See below for what we're wearing to the next fashion show and what I wore to our most recent show!

Friendsgiving

A more casual event, but if your Friendsgiving is anything like mine, there will be lots of pictures! A casual and cozy dress is perfect for your Friendsgiving feast by keeping you stylish, yet comfortable. Especially if you’re planning to feast on turkey and dressing! (Because leftovers are for quitters.)

Thanksgiving

Whether you’re gobbling at Palm Springs or your family lake house, a chic and elegant look should be on the menu for your attire. A time when lots of family photos will be taken, we suggest a timeless dress that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Feast your eyes on these.

Gala

A time to dress to the nines while channeling Audrey Hepburn. Most Gala’s provide a suggested dress code, usually being black tie or cocktail attire. If the invitation specifies black tie, we suggest always choosing a long dress. For cocktail attire, choose a short dress, with the hem hitting right above the knee or middle of the shin for a midi length. We always suggest wearing something fashion forward and showcasing your personal style, but remember to choose something you are comfortable in. And don’t forget, a good pair of spanx never hurt nobody!

Holiday Party

Everyone loves a good Holiday party, meaning you will probably be attending more than one. If you don’t want to buy a new dress for every event, I suggest getting an LBD that you can dress differently each time, by switching up the jewelry, shoes, and jacket. I also love a good sparkle for a Holiday Party, because other than New Years, there’s very few events where sequins are acceptable.

Office Holiday Party

Business chic is the outfit of choice for your Office Holiday Party. You definitely want to be fun and festive, but still look like the boss lady that we all know you are. A red dress paired with a sparkly eye and a great pair of shoes shows you’re spirited, and still professional. If you’re not looking to take out a loan on yet another holiday dress, pull out that LBD one last time and pair it with a sparkly or metallic blazer for a refined and festive outfit!
